The mission of the Money Museum is to amass, store, study, restore, exhibit and popularise material and spiritual values in relation to the history of banking and money; to introduce visitors to the history of world money and banking, Lithuanian money, development of banking in our country since the origination of the first credit institutions to the present day, to help the public to better understand the objectives of the Bank of Lithuania as the central bank of the Republic of Lithuania and its functions.
